Dr. Wright is an out-of-network provider, which means she does not contract with any insurance companies at this time. She offers a limited number of sliding scale slots for individuals who would not otherwise be able to access evidence-based therapy. As an anxiety specialist, there are many reasons that Dr. Wright has chosen to operate as an out-of-network provider to ensure that she can offer the highest level of individualized care to her clients:
Treating phobias and obsessive compulsive disorder, for example, often requires exposure work that may extend beyond typical session durations or require going "on-location," which insurance companies do not cover.
Being out-of-network provides an extra layer of confidentiality as there is no requirement to share detailed treatment information with insurance companies.
This decision also allows Dr. Wright to see more clients and prioritize quality of care, as administrative complexities associated with insurance billing can take many hours per week and detract from the focus on client well-being.
Clients interested in seeking reimbursement from their insurance company for therapy should contact the number on the back of their insurance card to inquire about out-of-network benefits. Dr. Wright is happy to provide a "superbill," or receipt, for clients to submit to their insurance.
In order to assist clients with the out-of-network claim submission process, Dr. Wright works with Mentaya, a platform that helps clients get money back on out-of-network therapy sessions. To see if you qualify for reimbursement, you can use the benefits checker below. If you qualify, Mentaya will file claims and handle the insurance paperwork to make sure you get reimbursed. They charge a 5% fee per claim for this service. Note: Mentaya's goal is to save you time and money. It's completely optional, and as your therapist, Dr. Wright does not benefit in any way from your participation.
